On a Trade Waste Collection service the Dataset system deploys Hand Held devices in order to save on labour costs  in the vehicle and even more so in the office.

Routes are sent to each drivers device from which he can get all the necessary information relating to the emptying of bins scheduled for today. Jobs may be added to or taken from any route dynamically during the course of the day, each change to today’s collection schedule will be flagged up on the screen of the hand held device.

Cloud Computing

Signature capture and photographs are also a feature of the device. Customers may download and their own dockets from the Cloud (our remote servers hosted on the Internet) thus eliminating the need for posting of paper dockets. Problems such as ‘Blocked Access’ may be photographed and sent to the Cloud for viewing by the customer.

The driver confirms each job on the device as they are completed, this eliminates the need for confirming work in the office and also for keyboard entry of dockets in the office. As jobs are completed by the driver, they are sent automatically back to the office system, priced up and made ready for invoicing.

Route progress etc. may be monitored on the Dataset Mapping Interface.
